Contrib repo: remove contents of master branch and update readme with instructions

This deletes everything here and updates the readme with some instructions about the contrib repo. Hopefully that makes the difference between the two repos more clear, so that people don't accidentally end up on an outdated version of the codebase and readme (as the contrib master won't be updated).
